We decided to spend our much anticipated honeymoon on the island of
Aruba!! One of the "ABC Islands", Aruba is just off the coast of Venezuela (click
here for a map) and is known for both its year-round mild temperatures and its location
outside the Hurricane Belt.
We stayed at the
Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort near the capital city of Oranjestad. After returning from Aruba, we headed to the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence
River in upstate New York (click
here for a map), where Ned's family has a cabin. Despite the quick and significant change in temperature, we had a wonderful time
enjoying a second week of relaxation amidst the beautiful fall folliage and peacefulness of the River.
