	Ned graduated from UMBC in December of 1999, when he received his Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Health Services Management. Prior to college, Ned attended the Jemicy School, Boys Latin, and Friends, where he excelled in both football and lacrosse. Before graduating from Friends in 1994, Ned joined the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 17, where he remained a member for over eight years.

	A Little About Ned and His Family   Ned was born on May 26, 1976 in Walnut Creek, California. He grew up in Suffern, NY and then in Gaithersburg, Crofton, and Ellicott City, Maryland with his parents and two brothers, Owen and David. The family has now spread out to different corners of the country. Ned's father, Ted, is living in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Ned's mom, Maggie, who works for the Cecil County Public School System, lives in Elkton, MD. Owen and his wife, Jaclyn, live in Philadelphia where Owen is pursuing his photography career. After spending two years in Burkina Faso, Africa with the U.S. Peace Corps, David is now attending medical school at the University of Chicago. 	In December of 2005, Ned left his job as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic for the Baltimore County Fire Department. He now works for Nationwide Insurance as a Property Claims Representative. Click here to learn more about his job.
